In partnership with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition, the Santa Monica Symphony commemorates the legacy of Dr. King with its annual MLK concert. The afternoon concert opens with Coleridge-Taylor’s uplifting Danse Negre and Price’s rousing Symphony No. 1. The concert concludes with Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue with the masterful Jason Stoll on piano. Gary Pratt, who conducted last season’s MLK concert, will once again guest conduct.
Doors open at 2:00 pm.
All Santa Monica Symphony concerts are FREE, but pre-registration is required as seating is limited.
